Heading to the beach with little ones can be a delightful adventure with the right preparation. Here are 10 beach hacks designed to make your seaside outing with babies and toddlers as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

1. Shade sanctuary

Set up a pop-up tent or parasol as soon as you arrive to create a cool, shaded area for your family. It’s essential for protecting everyone from the sun.

2. Baby powder magic

Sprinkle baby powder on sandy skin to remove sand easily without irritation. It’s a lifesaver for keeping little ones comfortable.

3. Nursing Cocoon

Our Nursing Cocoon is perfect for discreet breastfeeding at the beach. It not only provides a comfortable and private feeding environment but also acts as a sun barrier to keep your baby shielded from harmful sun rays.

4. Frozen aloe vera cubes

Freeze aloe vera gel in our Yummy Tray the night before your trip. These can soothe any accidental sunburns quickly and effectively.

5. Mesh bags for sand toys

Pack all sand toys in a mesh bag. The sand will fall out on the way back, keeping your house sand-free.

6. A brush for sunscreen

Little ones are not always fans of applying sunscreen. Therefore, use a soft makeup brush to apply your child without tears. Don’t forget to repeat this regularly!

7. Kid-Friendly snack packs

Pack a variety of healthy snacks like sliced watermelon and juicy fruits in our Yummy Bags, ideal for keeping your toddler hydrated. These reusable silicone bags are leak-free, ensuring that they keep the rest of your beach bag dry and your snacks fresh and sand-free. Once kids are done eating, they can store treasures they find and carry them around, or you can just roll the Yummy Bags up and put them away.

8. Pre-frozen drinks

Freeze small bottles of water or juice to bring along as ice packs. They’ll melt throughout the day, providing cold drinks for hydration even if you stay the whole day at the beach.

9. Baby wading pool

Bring a small inflatable pool for your baby and toddler to play in. Fill it with ocean water, and you have a safe and confined play area right next to you. You don’t want to bring this with you? Make a little whole in the sand and fill it with water too, it will keep them entertained!

10. Lightweight stroller or bolderkar (handcart)

If you need to bring a stroller, choose for a lightweight model that won’t bog down in the sandy terrain. Don’t want to carry the stroller with you? A bolderkar (also known as handcart) can also be a great solution, even for your exhausted toddler at the end of the day, and you get to take everything with you easier.

Always clean up your area before leaving. Encourage children to help gather items, teaching them the importance of leaving nature better than they found them. You can bring an extra plastic bag so you can carry trash all the way to the seaside where you will easily find where to throw it away.

With these beach essential hacks, your day at the beach can be filled with fun instead of frustration. Remember, the best trips are those that are well-prepared, especially when little ones are involved. Enjoy your sun-drenched day out with peace of mind!
