About our Nursing Cover

Question HOW DO I BEST CARE FOR THE BABY ON THE MOVE NURSING COVER?
Answer

We recommend a gentle washing at 30˚C / 86˚F whenever needed. If possible, hang to dry and avoid using a dryer. If you must use a dryer, then we recommend a gentle program. Similarly, we recommend using a low ironing temperature.

For additional care, we recommend using the washing bag included with the nursing cover. To put the cover into the washing bag, please fold the cover neatly so that the contoured neckline sits along the sides of the washing bag.

Question WHAT DO I DO IN CASE THE CONTOURED NECKLINE ON MY BABY ON THE MOVE NURSING COVER DEFORMS DURING A WASH?
Answer

In most cases, your Baby on the Move will not require any special care other than an occasional wash. In rare instances, the neckline can get distorted after washing. In this case, we recommend to gently iron the boning in the neckline and manually form it back into shape. To minimize the risk of the neckline bending out of shape, we recommend using the washing bag (see “How do I best care for the Baby on the Move nursing cover?”)

Question HOW LARGE IS THE NURSING COVER, AND WILL IT SUFFICIENTLY COVER ME AND MY BABY WHILE FEEDING?
Answer

Our Baby on the Move nursing cover is 86cm (34in) wide and 62cm in height (24.5in). Depending on breastfeeding position, baby’s size and way of sitting / standing, we have found this should be sufficient to provide cover for most moms in most situations.

If you are afraid that our nursing cover might not cover you and your baby to your satisfaction, we recommend trying it on before using it during a feed. Please let us know any feedback you may have for us.

Question HOW DO I FASTEN / TIGHTEN / LOOSEN THE STRAP TO HANG THE COVER AROUND MY NECK?
Answer

To fasten the strap, pull the strap through the middle of both metal buckles at the other side of the cover. Next, pull the strap over the top of the second metal buckle and back through the middle of the first metal buckle. You should feel the strap tightening as you continue to pull it.

To further tighten the strap, continue pulling the end of the strap. This will make the cover hang higher and decrease the opening through which you can see your baby.

To loosen the strap, hold the metal buckles and pull the other side of the strap (the side that is attached to the cover) away from the metal buckles. This will make the cover hang lower and increase the opening through which you can see your baby.

Question THE COLORS OF MY COVER SEEM SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT FROM THE ONES I SAW ON YOUR WEBSITE – WHY IS THAT?
Answer

All Baby on the Move nursing covers are limited editions. We choose prints that we feel are the most contemporary. As a result, all covers with the same print should have the same colors as they are made in a single batch. We do our best to put the most realistic and representative photos to allow you to choose the print that best fits your style. However, individual screen types and settings can sometimes make a cover look slightly different on-screen versus in real life. If you’re not sure if a color will be exactly what you want, we recommend to at least check it out on multiple devices first. You can also go check out our products at selected retailers (see “Retail points”).

About our Yummy Bag

Question HOW DO I BEST CARE FOR MY YUMMY BAG?
AnswerPlease wash with warm water and soap before first use.

We recommend cleaning the Yummy Bag after every use: take all items apart, wash by hand or use the dishwasher and rinse thoroughly. Let it dry completely before storing it. The Yummy Bag can be rolled up with the loops fastened on both sides to save space:


For your convenience, the closing mechanism can be detached from the silicone bag. If you need more information on how the closing mechanism can be detached, please check the online instruction movie here.

Be careful with sharp objects as they can damage the Yummy Bag.

Question CAN I MICROWAVE / BOIL / FREEZE MY YUMMY BAG?
AnswerOur Yummy Bag is perfect for your daily life. You can boil, microwave or freeze them. If you use them in the microwave, do not heat for more than 10 minutes.

The silicone bag is suitable for use in temperatures between -50° and 200°C / -58° and 392°F. This makes the bag dishwasher safe, microwave safe, oven safe and boil safe.

The closing mechanism is suitable for use in temperatures between -20°C and 100°C / -4° and 212°F. We recommend not to put the piece in boiling water.

Question HOW DO I CLOSE MY YUMMY BAG TO SEAL IN THE FRESHNESS?
AnswerTo seal in all the nutrients, flavors and juices, make sure to push out as much air as possible from the Yummy Bag before closing it. When you close the yummy Bag, you should hear both closing latches click.

Pro tip! For long-term storage of food or liquids, it helps to eliminate as much air as possible from the bag before closing it. After you’ve put your food or liquids in, close 1 of the 2 latches. Then, slowly dip the bottom of the Yummy Bag in water, slowly pushing it further down. You will see some air move to the surface and escape from the top of the Yummy Bag. Finally, push the last remaining air out and close the 2nd latch before taking the bag out of the water.

Question HOW SHOULD I STORE MY BREAST MILK?
AnswerWhen you use your Yummy Bag to store your precious breast milk, please keep in mind that expressed breast milk can be stored for up to 3 days in a fridge at 4°-7°C / 39°-44°F (not in the door) and up to 6 months in a freezer at -18°C / 0°F.

Always check milk or food temperature before feeding your baby.

Question WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM VOLUME MY YUMMY BAG CAN HOLD?
AnswerThe maximum volume of the Yummy Bag is 230ml / 8 fl oz. You can check the volume via the transparent measure on the back of the Yummy Bag. The volume measurements indicate volume when bag is standing and opened.

The Yummy Bag is made from flexible silicone and will expand with the liquid during the freezing process. So you can fill your Yummy Bag to the brim without worrying about any spills in your freezer.

Question CAN I WRITE ON, OR LABEL THE YUMMY BAG?
AnswerYou can label the bag with a dry erase maker (whiteboard marker): Write name, date and volume and let dry. Dry erase marker can be washed off using water and soap, or in the dishwasher. Alternatively, you can of course label the Yummy Bag using a freezer sticker label.

AnswerThe Yummy Bag is endlessly reusable. That is why it is a great replacement for single-use plastics! So the Yummy Bag is not just good for you and your family but for our planet too.
Question WHY IS THE YUMMY BAG MADE FROM SILICONE?
AnswerSilicone is a safer and more sustainable choice compared to plastic.

We use Wacker silicone to produce our Yummy Bag. Wacker is known for its high quality food and medical grade silicone raw materials. AnswerOur Yummy Bags are 100% food safe. We have tested them repeatedly to make sure they are completely safe for you and your family.

The Yummy Bag is made of 100% food grade materials. The Yummy Bag fully complies with German LFGB, US FDA and French Decree on Silicones with Food Contact. This means it passes all relevant European and U.S. food safety standards. The Yummy Bags are non-toxic and do not contain any BPA, PAHs, heavy metals and Phthalates, so they are perfectly safe to store your precious breast milk, fruit or vegetable purees, snacks, soups, and other food.

Question HOW DO I REMOVE ANY ODORS AND STAINS?
AnswerBecause we do not use any toxic components for our Yummy Bag, certain foods could stain or sometimes leave an odor. This will not affect the use of the Yummy Bag: you can still use it to store liquids or foods safely and freshly!

To avoid staining as much as possible, we advise that you choose a bag color that matches the content. You can avoid staining and odors by washing the bag with water and soap directly after use.

If you do experience staining, you can remove these safely by making a paste of vinegar or water mixed with baking soda. Apply the paste to the Yummy Bag and let it sit for a while. Then rinse the bag as normal. This will typically significantly reduce any staining you have experienced.

AnswerYes, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail a couple of minutes after your
payment has been processed.
Question WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?
AnswerYou should receive your order in 1-5 working days. We will send you an update once we have processed your order for dispatching. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking number from our courier.
Question CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY ORDER?
AnswerPlease contact us via the form on our contact page as soon as you would like to
cancel or change your order. If your order has not yet been processed, we will cancel or change your order as you wish. However, if your order has already been processed, this will not be possible. In this case, you can return your order for a
refund once it has been received (please see the returns policy in our webshop terms & conditions, or in the FAQ below).

Waranty and Return Policy

Question WHAT'S YOUR WARRANTY POLICY?
AnswerAlthough we are committed to do a quality check and arrange the appropriate packaging for the product, you may have complaints regarding a product.

All BOTM products come with a two-year guarantee, which starts on the day of delivery. As soon as you – or a third party – receive the product you should inspect the product. Any visible damage to and/or qualitative deficiencies of a product or other deficiency in the delivery (e.g., not all products have been delivered) must be reported immediately (at least within 24 hours) by you to your store in writing.

If you would contact third parties for repair, the risk and costs are on you and the warranty will lapse.

Any deficiency must be reported to the store within two months of detection. You must return the product within seven calendar days thereafter. If you have not arranged as such, your rights will lapse.

Hidden deficiencies that manifest after a period of six months from date of delivery shall not be deemed hidden deficiencies. As such you will need to prove that the deficiency existed on the moment of delivery.

You are advised to retain the original packaging used for the products and include the accessories/documentation and proof of purchase or payment.

The warranty is never applicable in case of deficiencies arising as a result of:

  • normal wear and tear
  • accidents, natural disasters, fire
  • negligence, bath faith
  • use of the product inconsistent with the purpose for which it was designed
  • failure to follow the operating instructions or manual
  • modifications or alterations to the product
  • rough usage
  • poor maintenance
  • or any other abnormal or incorrect use after delivery
  • discoloring

Question WHAT'S YOUR RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY?
AnswerFor any items purchased through one of our retail partners whether in-store or on-
line through our partners’ webshop, your purchase is subject to their return or
exchange policies. We recommend that you please contact them to discuss any
return or exchange.
For any items you’ve purchased directly from us through our webshop, we offer a 14-day return period. If you’re not 100% sure about your purchase for whatever reason, you can return the product to us within 14 days after delivery.
To request a return, please email info@babyonthemove.com or use the form on our
contact page and include:

  • Your order number
  • Your bank account information
  • The reason for your return

We will send you the return instructions. We cannot take responsibility for any
shipping costs related to a return.
We can only commit to accepting returns for unused products, returned in original
packaging, along with all accessories and instructions. We will refund your purchase within 14 days of receiving the returned product.
